Android messages images not downloading

Check your phone's network connection · Disable “Auto-retrieve” in your messenger's settings · Clear older messages · Track down problematic apps. I had the same problem and this worked for me and a friend of mine. Go to your messages and click settings. Scroll down to where it says. If I get a pic message while the data is off, obviously the phone can't download the larger pic file. THE PROBLEM comes in when you turn your data back on it will literally take days to download the picture!! It has happened to me on my EVO and now happening on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch. It's an Android issue. First things first, open your messenger. Disable your “Auto-retrieve”. In the default messenger, there’s an option labeled “ Auto-retrieve.”. If it’s currently enabled, disable it. With “Auto-retrieve” disabled, MMS media won’t download automatically, and you’ll have to start the download manually instead. This issue of getting stuck on Sending or Downloading is actually a pretty easy thing to fix, and here is the solution. Restart your phone. If you have not turned off your phone in a while or have not restarted your device since this issue first occurred then go ahead and reboot the unit. Manually turn it off, count to ten, and then turn it back on.
